Yes, right now Asus ep121 slate is not avaliable for pre order from amazon to most of the countries. However, the Amazon page says "This item is also available for shipping to selected countries outside the U.S." . Amazon ships Hope they will set it up to these countries very soon (just keep checking back at the link). Its a misconception that Amazon doesn's ship outside us. This is what they say :

Check your sources at Amazon... They DON'T ship the Slate to Australia, they DON'T accept an Australian credit card.
Thanks again for checking back on the page Bradster!! Yes I've mentioned it in my previous comment. Amazon doesn't accept preorders of asus slate from Australia nor any other countries than US for the time being. So they are not accepting the Australian address or Credit cards too ( I checked it myself). But I hope Amazon will make the changes soon as they have mentioned about it in their page. Till then, I am as helpless as you!

You can buy most of the products from Amazon at South Africa . But, unfortunately Asus eee slate 121 is currently not shipped to South Africa.
